New programme director for PCAP

Posted on: 17 January, 2008

The Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PCAP) saw a number changes last year including a reduction in the number of assessments required by staff (fewer larger assessments rather than multiple small tasks). Feedback from staff and external examiners was very positive indicating that the assessment s more manageable for staff whilst work was of a greater quality and depth.

PCAP has a new programme director and module 1 Leader, Dr Shelley Drew, who joined LATEU in July 2007. Shelley is working with PCAP Module 2 leader, Dr Jane Seale from the School of Education, and HR to further improve the flexibility of the programme for staff. For example, the procedures for full and partial exemption have been adapted to provide greater opportunity of recognising experiential learning.

Further information on PCAP can be found on our website.
